Another Gloomy Day For Pakatan Harapan
- On Saturday, 18 January 2020, a by election was held in Kimanis. Barisan Nasional candidate, Mohamad Alamin was elected with a majority of 2029 votes.
- It is just another defeat for Pakatan Harapan after the Tanjung Piai by election. Until today, Pakatan Harapan has suffered 5 losses.
- The loss in Kimanis cannot be treated as a mere defeat. But it depicts a clear deprivation of support and confidence of the people towards the ruling party.
- The government has to do something. Corrective measures ought to be taken if Pakatan Harapan wants to stay relevant until the next election. Major changes have to be made.
- Up until today, Pakatan Harapan is still living in denial. They have to realise that their glory days have passed. And now they are being scrutinised by the people. Many of their decisions were questioned. Some ministers are incompetent and unscrupulous. These are factors leading to their recent loss in Kimanis.
- The person to be blamed for all these losses is none other than Dr Mahathir Mohamad. His credibility to lead the coalition is on the line. The people started to have doubt on his capability. He has to be responsible for all that happened.
- Dr Mahathir Mohamad is just another old fox in the retiring queue. It is time he takes the responsibility and have the guts to resign. A new leadership is all what we need now.
- Looking back into the tapestry of history, Barisan Nasional downwall did not start in Najib’s era. It started way back in 1997. And during that time, Barisan Nasional was led by Dr Mahathir. Today, the history seems to repeat itself.
- Pakatan Harapan leaders must acknowledge the fact that the head has spoilt and need to be replaced as soon as possible. Inevitably, this is the only way to get out from the turmoil.
